High Energy 1D Atmospheric Neutrino Fluxes using 3D program,
using ICRC01 primary flux
Energy and Zenith angle binning
The fluxes on these pages are made with the 3D program running in 1D mode. The bin definitions are as for the 3D fluxes, i.e. the fluxes are in bins of neutrino energy (equally spaced bins in logE with 10 bins per decade with the low edge of the first bin at 10 GeV) and zenith angle (20 bins equally spaced in cos(zenith) with bin width 0.1), integrated over azimuth. Note logE means log to base e. The first table gives the fluxes using target2.1a [this is target 2.1 except for a change to the associative (lambda-K+) production to prevent it from increasing as a function of energy.] This produces a more reasonable kaon production at high energy. However there are no hadron-production measurements we know at such high energies which justify 'more reasonable'! Target 2.1a still produces somewhat more kaons at high energies than other hadron production generators. All fluxes on this page are generated using the 'Hamburg ICRC01' primary flux parameterisation at solar minimum.
