Following a successful first workshop in Stockholm in October 97 fruitful collaboration between ATLAS groups and manufacturers was started. Good progress has been made in the area of radiation hard optical links. The second workshop will look at optoelectronic components (VCSELs and PINs) as well as packaging, fibre, connector and installation issues. As a key part of the programme there will be presentations by leading manufacturers on these areas.

The meeting will take place in the Nuclear Physics Laboratory of the Department of Physics, Oxford. Accommodation is available in Lincoln College which is 10 minutes walk from the lab. A list of hotels is also available but should be booked privately.
