On Linux there is an additional help system that gives access to
information organised into pages with links. It is a (little) bit like
a text only Internet web of local pages. For example try:-
info
which leads to help on info itself. Its worth working through it, but
here are a few notes for the impatient:-
- Any line that starts with a * is a menu link.
Move the cursor, using the arrow keys, to that line and press RETURN to
go to that menu.
- Press space to view the next screen of the current topic.
- Press Delete to view the previous screen of the current topic.
- Press l (last) to retrace your steps.
- Press u (up) to go up to a more global topic.
- Press n (next) to go to the next topic.
- Press p (previous) to go to the previous topic.
- Press q (quit) to exit.
