BLOCK DATA Statements
On some computers, variables and arrays defined in common
blocks cannot be initialised using DATA statements except in special subprogram
units called BLOCK DATA. These have no executable statements and are used
simply to define and initialise common blocks. For example:-
BLOCK DATA BLKDAT
COMMON/INP/ NINTOT,NINLEN,NINARR(100)
COMMON/OUTP/ NOUTOT,NOULEN,NOUARR(100)
DATA NINTOT,NINLEN,NOUTOT,NOULEN/4*0/
END
