University is all about having fun, and Oxford provides all kinds of opportunities for it.

What other sport is so definably England? Of course I had to try it. I've even enjoyed it.
At Oxford, it's not just a sport: it's a culture. Invariably you get sucked into it, and I am no better than the rest.
As the baying of the hounds flushed the deer out of its hiding place, a shot rang out in the gathering dusk. Okay, I've stuck to inanimate, non-living targets.
Baseball? In England? Yes, that North American import is gracing the fields of the old land.
Okay, it was pushing things a little far to find curling in England, so it was off to Scotland for this one.
Of course, there are lots of other sports to try. Soccer, modern pentathlon and running are some on the list.
| Dancing | ||
Oxford is populated by the UK's upper class elite, and what could be more posh than ballroom dancing? Shall we dance?
Circle to the left, then circle back right, petronella twice and reel on the side!
| Music | There are always lots of concerts happening in Oxford. I wasn't content with just going to them, so I've actually taken part in them. | |
And what grander way can there be than to sing in a massive choir?
Or perhaps tootle away as part of an orchestra?
And if all that's a little much for the senses, one can always retreat to the ecclesiastical roots of the University.
But that shouldn't stop one from having grander visions.
Or trying something completely different.
With the rum tum tum of the military drum and the guns that go boom boom!
After all, it's all in a bit of random fun.
| Travel | I've never been to Europe before. What I can do for vacations? Hmm. . . . | |

Are you K.E.E.N. to have loads of fun while helping out? Then read on. . . .
O.A.R. you could opt instead for a relaxing day out on the river.

Nothing sends a thrill through the crowd so much as getting to see a superstar up close. Oxford attracts its share and has made me into a paparazzo wannabe.
Not everything I do involves me bustling about like some busy-body. I do take the time to catch my breath. Honest.
