E-mail

All new postgraduates initially have their mail directed to the University NEXUS Exchange Server from where it can be accessed from PCs and UNIX servers within the department. More information on E-mail usage in Physics can be found at:-

The recommended way to access your email is as follows:-

1. If working at a PC connected to the local network use Outlook. For details see:-

   http://www.physics.ox.ac.uk/IT/email/exchange/outlook.htm

   Normally Outlook configuration will have already been done for you so you should be send and receive mail straight away.

2. If not at a local PC but you have full screen access e.g. using a workstation, then use a web browser (see section on WWW below) and connect to Outlook web access.
