Viewing files

There are several ways to view files:-

My Computer

The icon can be found on the desktop, double click to open. My Computer shows all your mapped drives, the control panel, and the printers you are connected to. Your home directory will be shown in the form:-

smith on '\\ppfsn\dfs\users'(H:)

MS Windows Explorer

can be found on the Start menu, on the desktop or by clicking the right mouse button over the Start button on the taskbar. Explorer shows all files accessible via the desktop, this includes My Computer and My Network Places. Network drives can be mapped from the Tools menu and select the drive from the list of shared directories.
