Moving Files

Files can be moved by dragging and dropping, either within the same window or from one to another. Multiple directory windows can be opened so that moving files is easier, if a new window doesn't open when you double-click on a folder, select Folder Options from the Tools menu and check the Browse folders using a separate window for each folder option. Cutting and pasting can also be used enabling you to cut or copy a set of files, wander off somewhere else and paste them wherever you end up. To move more than one file at a time click on the first file, hold down the Shift key and click on the last file, this will include all files between and they can all be dragged over, cut or copied. If all files between are not wanted hold down the Control key instead of the Shift key. Folders can be created by selecting New and Folder from the File menu, this will create a folder in the folder you are in.
